ROOT: What Is God's Aseity?

Simply put: God is completely self-sufficient. He exists in and of Himself, needing absolutely nothing outside Himself to exist or be satisfied.

Think of it this way: Everything in your life needs something else to exist. You need air, food, water. Plants need soil and sun. Even the sun needs physics laws to function. But God? God needs nothing. He is the only being who is completely self-sufficient.
